About the Show

JEWTOPIA, the smash hit comedy, recently celebrated its 1000th performance at Off-Broadway’s Westside Theatre. Jewtopia opened in New York on October 21, 2004 following a 16-month sold-out premiere in Los Angeles – where it still holds the record as the longest-running comedy in Los Angeles theatre history.

JEWTOPIA tells the story of two thirty-year-old single men looking to meet the perfect Jewish girl. Chris O’Connell, a gentile, wants to marry a Jewish girl so he’ll never have to make another decision again for the rest of his life. Adam Lipschitz, a Jew who likes to date outside the faith, wants to find a Jewish girl to please his family, but can’t get a date to save his life. Chris and Adam meet at a Jewish singles mixer and decide to form a secret pact. Adam promises to teach Chris how to be a "Jew" if Chris shows Adam how to meet the Jewish girl of his parents’ dreams. Stereotypes collide, cultures clash, and chaos ensues.
